Once Again, Drummers Choose Cymbal-Maker’s New Product Offering

Throughout September and October, drummers from around the world will get to decide which new cymbals SABIAN will release in 2013 – but this time around, most will be able to play them in person before voting!

Multiple sets of the 12 new cymbal models developed by the innovative Vault team will be shipped to select dealers worldwide, allowing customers to try them first-hand. In a series of exciting events, Sabian endorsers will be on location to play the cymbals along with their fans.

For those who are unable to get out and play the cymbals in person, the Cymbal Vote website will once again feature compelling video of SABIAN artists playing and commenting on the 12 models. Top players like Mike Portnoy, Ray Luzier and Tony Royster Jr. will take the cymbals for a test drive and allow their views to be heard loud and clear.

When SABIAN launched the Cymbal Vote website in 2012, it was the first time a major music manufacturer had allowed its customers to choose their annual product offering. Starting with a dozen tantalizing cymbal models, drummers were able to vote in a series of elimination rounds until a final four remained, and officially launched at the 2012 NAMM show.

That program was incredibly successful. By shipping sets of the cymbals to locations around the world so that drummers can try before voting, Cymbal Vote 2013 promises to be an even bigger success.
