‘HOLY TOUCH’ VIDEO LAUNCHES EXCLUSIVELY ON VEVO
(July 23, 2012) – Foxy Shazam, the genre-bending musical merry-makers behind the critically acclaimed album The Church of Rock and Roll, have been chosen to join Slash on tour. The former Guns N’ Roses guitarist is taking out Foxy for a string of high-profile North American dates running from September 4 to October 4, culminating at the legendary Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. Tour dates are listed below.
Before hitting the road with Slash, Foxy Shazam releases “Holy Touch”, today via VEVO: http://vevo.ly/NBkZUz the provocative follow-up video to the epic, cinematic, Tommy-meets-Tarantino clip for “I Like It.” Award-winning director/cinematographer Shane Valdes (who directed Matthew McConaughey as his Dazed and Confused character in Butch Walker’s “Synthesizers” video) helmed the highly anticipated video for “Holy Touch.”
Additionally, more than 160 countries tuned in and turned on to Foxy Shazam when they played the SPIKE TV Guy’s Choice Awards as the house band. Airing June 9, the event saw Foxy sharing the stage with such big-name guys as Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Adam Sandler, Kobe Bryant and Ray Liotta. Fans can also keep a look out for the bands involvement with DETAILS magazine, coming soon.
To date, The Church of Rock and Roll reached #2 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers charts, and is garnering rave reviews. Huffington Post called The Church of Rock and Roll (released January 24, 2012 via I.R.S. Records) an album that “effectively promises to redefine music entirely. And honestly, it does just that.” while Guitar World opined: “It’s a catchy, high-energy neo-glam”.
