Drummer Sean Winchester Revs up for Summer Tours with Everclear, Bow Wow Wow and Something Bot Metro
Sean Winchester, drummer for the popular ‘90s band Everclear, will be packing his bags for a 30-show tour this summer sponsored by Live Nation. The tour will support the release of Everclear's newest album, Invisible Stars, set for a release. Everclear will headline and share the stage with other renowned artists from the same decade including Sugar Ray, the Gin Blossoms, Lit and Marcy Playground. "Summerland Tour" will kick off Thursday, June 28th in Saratoga, CA, and the 29th at Los Angeles’s Greek Theater. More dates and show times TBA.
In addition, Winchester will also be headed across the pond for three weeks starting April 17th to perform with ‘80s post punk legends Bow Wow Wow. Originally from the UK, Bow Wow Wow will return home on a 12-date tour, the band's first major string of shows in three decades. Bow Wow Wow, well known for their ‘80s cover of the 1960s hit "I Want Candy," as well as the controversial artwork of their 1981 album See Jungle! See Jungle! Go Join Your Gang, Yeah! City All Over, Go Ape Crazy!, which featured a nude Annabelle Lwin, lead vocalist, in a re-creation of the Manet painting “Le déjeunersur sur l'herbe.” Tragedy struck the band when guitarist Matthew Ashman passed away in 1995 due to complications arising from diabetes. Since then, two original members have continued playing shows locally in CA, including Lwin and bass player Lee Gorman.
